My name is Amber Burden and I am the author of this blog – Saving Money Wisely. I live in the Greater Cincinnati area and all store match-ups (unless otherwise stated) are from the store ads in this area. While I have always been a user of coupons for the more expensive items at the grocery – diapers, for example – I never really understood the use of a coupon until November of 2008. As my family continued to expand, so did our cost at the grocery each month.
I started researching how to use coupons to save the most money, and found quickly that you can save hundreds every month! From there, I started using my coupons, following sales, and began to see our pantry fill up and our costs go down.
After several months – I realized that I was saving a lot of money and people were becoming interested in how I was able to do it. I decided to start a blog so I could list all the stores that I follow in one area. For those who have been following me for awhile, you know this is my third (but final!) site. I began in April of 2009 at http://savingmoneywisely.blogspot.com on the Blogger platform. During the summer, I began doing guest posts with Little Miss Know It All, and then by October 2009, I joined the Little Miss Know It All blog network at http://savingmoneywisely.littlemissknowitall.net In December of 2009 I purchased my own domain and obtained my own hosting, and am where I am now (and where I will stay!) at http://www.savingmoneywisely.com.
I love blogging and have found my passion in doing this. I am currently a mother to three lovely children (aged 5, 2, and 1 year) and have been married to my wonderful husband for over 7 years. I am a firm believer of allowing the benefits of couponing to bless your family. We have had many opportunities in the last year that we would not have had despite the amount that we save using coupons. My purpose and vision for this blog is to allow you to see how much benefit your family can receive by using coupons and also to be able to bless others with your coupon use.
