I have seen out in the blog-o-sphere rumblings that CVS will not allow a B1G1 MQ with a B1G1 sale to get 2 free. Any truth to that….?
My store has always allowed BOGO coupons on BOGO items….and from what I have heard their corporate office always has supported this when it has been questioned. I will see if I can get a hard copy of their policy, or direct word if it isn’t outlined in their policy.
I should have given you more info….some say that this has changed, specifically in response to the last SoBe water event a few weeks ago.
I myself purchased without difficulty, but others apparently had problem later in the week of that sale and/or using rainchecks to try to get two free.
I do know that there were some problems with the Sobe, but I am not sure if it was directly related to the policy or to the coupons. I know when the heads or tails game first started, people were able to print multiples (like 20, or something!). One of my readers let me know that they were at CVS and that the person in front of them was using the BOGO coupons and the cashier wouldn’t accept b/c they were fraudulent. The manager also said this as well in this case and the coupons didn’t have unique codes :-O….so hopefully it was just because of a few iffy situations! I contacted my contact w/ corporate and am trying to get clarification in case anything has changed – I’ll let you know
I was pretty happy with my CVS trip yesterday…here’s what I did:
Purchased: 3 Pampers diapers @ $8.88 ea, 3 wipes @ $3.79 ea, and the free pkg Bounty Basic paper towels
Used: $5 off $30 CVS coupon (email), 3 $1.50 Pampers Q’s, and 3 free pampers wipes when you buy Pampers diapers Q’s (my coupons said 72 ct or smaller!)
Total: paid $17.14 plus tax for everything!
That is a pretty good deal! I love those extra coupons that CVS sends
